We had lots of science fun during Science Week 2013 from making xylophones, taking our finger prints, colour separating, making a paddle boat and forces of motion!

Halloween Safety

The local Garda came to school before Halloween and told us all about being safe at Halloween.



In history we have been learning about old trades in the town. One child’s grandad and great grand dad was a Cooper. A cooper was someone who made barrelsThis is a small barrel that came on visit to our classroom. It is very heavy and is made up of 14 pieces of oak.



Granard GAA 125 Prize

One of the 6th Class girls won a prize in the Granard GAA 125 Art Competition. Congratulations!!


Halloween Horror in 5th & 6th

We had a spooktacular time dressing up for Halloween. Some pupils even made their own costumes for the occasion!

Singing with the County Choir

Well done to the pupils in 4th, 5th & 6th Class who performed with the Longford County Choir on Sunday November 3rd. The children sang three songs- “Musical Memories”, “Let it Be” and “Love Shine a Light” on the night.
